Terms of Service
Last updated 22 September 2026
These terms govern access to and use of the SecurGarde platform at app.securgarde.com (the "Service"), provided by SecurGarde ("we", "us"). By creating an account or using the Service you agree to them on your own behalf and on behalf of the organisation you represent ("you", the "Customer").
1. The Service
SecurGarde is a governance, risk and compliance platform. It reads security findings from systems you connect, maps them to the controls of the compliance frameworks you select, maintains risk registers and control assessments, and generates reports and documents. Access is by request and may be subject to an order form or written agreement, which prevails over these terms where the two conflict.
2. Accounts
- You must provide accurate information when creating an account and keep it current.
- You are responsible for the credentials used to access the Service and for all activity under your account. Tell us promptly at hello@securgarde.com if you suspect unauthorised use.
- Each organisation has an owner, who may add administrators, members and viewers. The owner is responsible for who is given access.
3. Your data
- You own the data you put into the Service and the data it reads from systems you connect ("Customer Data"). We process it only to provide, secure and improve the Service, and as described in our Privacy Policy.
- You are responsible for having the right to connect the systems you connect and to upload the files you upload.
- Cloud credentials you provide are read-only, are encrypted before storage, and are used only to read security findings and configuration metadata.
- You can export your data at any time in the formats the Service offers, and an organisation owner can delete the organisation and its data from the Service.
4. Acceptable use
You will not use the Service to break the law, to attack or probe systems you are not authorised to test, to store malware, to attempt to access another customer's data, or to reverse engineer, resell or interfere with the Service. We may suspend access that we reasonably believe breaches this section, and will tell you why.
5. Compliance outputs
The Service produces control mappings, assessments, plans, filings and reports from the data available to it. These are tools to support your compliance work. They are not legal advice, they do not constitute certification or attestation by SecurGarde, and they do not replace an auditor, assessor or certification body. You remain responsible for the accuracy of what you submit to regulators, customers and assessors.
6. Availability and changes
We aim to keep the Service available at all times but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may change or withdraw features, and will give reasonable notice of changes that materially reduce functionality you rely on.
7. Fees
Fees, if any, are as set out in your order form or written agreement. Trial access is free unless we say otherwise.
8. Confidentiality
Each party will keep the other's non-public information confidential and use it only for the purposes of these terms, except where disclosure is required by law.
9. Intellectual property
We own the Service, including its framework catalogue, software and documentation. You receive a non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use it for your internal compliance purposes for as long as you have an account in good standing.
10. Termination
You may stop using the Service and delete your organisation at any time. We may terminate or suspend access for material breach of these terms that is not cured within 14 days of notice, or immediately where required to protect the Service or other customers. On termination your right to use the Service ends; you may export your data beforehand.
11. Liability
Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law. Otherwise, neither party is liable for indirect or consequential loss, and our total liability arising out of the Service in any twelve-month period is limited to the fees you paid for it in that period, or £1,000 if you paid none.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction, unless your written agreement with us says otherwise.
